It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Grazia Torrice Velardo on March 25, 2024, at the age of 98. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years, Mariano Velardo.
She leaves behind her children; Lina (Vincenzo) and Sergio (Lorena), as well as her grandchildren; Giuseppe, Laura (Ryan), Cassandra, Amanda and Sara and great-grandchild, William. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
She will be remembered for her love of gardening, her unwavering perseverance, resourcefulness, and her nurturing attitude towards her family. She never avoided hard work and found pure joy in caring for her loved ones. Her home was always welcoming to those around her. She lived a full life from beginning to end.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Santa Cabrini Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Please be advised that the church service will be held at Our Lady of Pompei Church at 12:00 p.m. on April 2, 2024, followed by the burial at Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery at 2:00 p.m..
