Calogero Piazza

Calogero Piazza, beloved husband of Concetta Ragusa departed this world on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the age of 88 years. Born on October 28, 1935, in Cattolica Eraclea, Calogero was a man of duty, honor, and respect. He moved to Montreal in 1960 where he married Concetta, a love story that spanned 61 years.

Together they raised three children, Maria (Gregory), Nina (Richard), and Giovanni. Calogero was a loving & dedicated father & grandfather known for his kindness, generosity, and fun-loving spirit.

He adored his grandchildren, Oliver (Meryl), Charles, Alexandra (Ryan), and Christopher.  Calogero was a man of few words who taught us the true meaning of unconditional love.  He had a passion for music, gardening, winemaking, and took every opportunity to laugh with his friends and loved ones.

A heartfelt thanks to the staff of the CLSC and Société de soins palliatifs à domicile du Grand Montreal for the outstanding care provided to Calogero, and friends & family for the love and support they showed during his stay at home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to www.FSSPAD.ca  


Lieu de funérailles

Les funérailles auront lieu le 6 janvier 2024 à 13:00 à San Domenico Savio Church (9190 Rue Sainte-Claire, Montréal, QC H1L 1Z7), suivie par l'inhumation au cimetière Le Repos Saint-François d'Assise (6893 Sherbrooke St E, Montreal, Quebec H1N 1C7)
