It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Santino Amenta on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Elena Gallitto, married for 62 years, and loving father to Melina, Corradina (Pierre), Giuseppe (Anna).
A wonderful Nonno to 5 grandchildren, Helene (Tristan), Priscilla (Sean), Ashley (Omar), Olivia & Selina. He was also blessed with 3 great-grandchildren: Dalia, Luca & Leonardo.
He was proud to be Italian-Sicilian Canadian; establishing a new life and building his family in Montreal from Italy on April 2nd, 1956. His determination, positive outlook on life and loving kindness made him loved by many and will be missed by all.
A family man with a very big heart, Santino will be remembered for his smile, infectious laughter and thoughtful regard for others. He had much joy tending to his garden and teaching his grandkids and great-grandkids how to laugh no matter the situation; his pure joy will live in their hearts forever!
