On Sunday, August 1, 2021 Norma Carretta passed away, at age 57, in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Norma was a courageous and determined woman who could light up a room with her radiant smile. She was strongly devoted to her family, her faith, and her friends. Her success as an executive in human resources and sense of adventure led to her many fabulous travel and employment opportunities. She was pre-deceased by her mother, the late Lidia Cont Carretta and her life partner, the late Andrew Mason. She will be sadly missed by her father, Leonildo Carretta, her brother Bruno Carretta, her extended family in Ontario and Italy, as well as her many friends in Canada, the United States, Europe and Australia.
In honor of Norma’s wishes and her spirit of generosity, in lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to one of the following organizations: Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence, Ovarian Cancer Canada, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Norma and I worked together for many years. She brought her full character-integrity, discipline, warmth, and empathy–to every encounter. She became a good friend and will be missed by all who knew her. We are all better people because of Norma.

Our sincerest condolences to Norma’s loved ones. We met Norma only fleetingly over the years through Andrew’s friendship and trivia nights in Australia. We looked forward to her company, warmth and good humour. Few kinder people have we met than Norma. Now reunited with Andrew. Norma will be sadly missed. Liz and Tony Balzan.
