It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mariantonia Napoletano (nee D’Urso), who left us on December 28, 2023, at the age of 86.

Beloved wife of the late Vito Napoletano, loving and caring mother of Mina (Tony), Maggie (Gino), Angie (Louis), Mike (Cathy), Pina (Gil), cherished nonna to Amanda (Patrick), Anthony (Judy), Philippe (Amélie), Kristina (Vince), Michael (Samantha), Marie (Sandro), Marc (Felicia), Lara, and adoring great grandmother to James, Vienna, Leo, Henri and Nico. She will be greatly missed by her brothers, sisters, sisters in-law, nieces and nephews.

She brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. She was an amazing mother, mother in-law, sister, and most importantly a cherished nonna and bisnonna. As the rock of our family, she leaves behind a legacy of strength, tradition and unconditional love. She will forever live on in our hearts.

 


Place of funeral

The funeral will take place on January 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Notre-Dame Du Mont Carmel Church (7645 Rue du Mans, Saint-Léonard, QC H1S 2A1) followed by burial at Le Repos Saint-François d'Assise cemetery (6893 Sherbrooke St E, Montreal, Quebec H1N 1C7)

    I hear that only time can heal grief, yet with every day that passes, it gets harder.

    Thank you for allowing me to experience what it feels like to have a Nonna, for always loving me and making me laugh. I miss your sense of humour and your smile every day. I miss our conversations in barese and your goodmorning texts. I miss your hugs and your voice.

    My condolences to everyone, Nonna has touched many hearts without even trying. Rest in piece my beautiful Nonnina. Ti voglio bene assai.
