Carmine Del Duca

Carmine Del Duca

January 10, 1929 - May 17, 2020

Carmine Del Duca, born on January 10th, 1929 (age 91), passed away peacefully on May 17th, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his children Giuseppe (Brigitte), Celestina (George) and Tina (Saverio), and his grandchildren Jonathan (Cynthia), Alexandre, David, Noemie, Nicolas, Jacob, Jordano, Catherine and Sara Melina.

Carmine came to this country with very little, but through his nature of relentless hard work and generosity, built a beautiful world for his family to live in. He was a kind man who lived by the values he believed in. He was not one for gifts or material possessions, but truly took pleasure in the little things life had to offer – being happiest when surrounded by his family. His door was always open to anyone who needed his company.

Carmine not only cultivated an impressive garden to care for his loved ones, but also a garden of the heart. He worked the soil to give his family a home, planted seeds to allow them to grow, and pointed their leaves towards the sunshine to give them a chance to dream. We owe the beautiful lives we have now to his sacrifices – although what matters most is not the beauty of what he created, but the reason why he did it. Through the endless love we cultivate for him, we offer him thanks for everything he has done for us.

We lost a kind, hard-working, caring and joyful man who will be deeply missed by everyone who was lucky enough to stumble upon him. A funeral will be held on May 27th, 2020 at 9:00 AM with only close family attending due to COVID restrictions. A memorial service will be held as soon as restrictions are lifted.

You will be able to follow a live stream as of May 27, 2020 at 9:00.
