It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Assunta Elisabetta at Santa Cabrini Hospital in Montreal, on December 19, 2016 after a courageous battle, at the age of 89 years. Assunta was a loving wife, grandmother and great grandmother. She always had a wonderful smile with a generous and kind heart. A compassionate human being who loved life in her simplistic but sincere ways. Being with her family and friends was her most treasured time. Beloved wife of the late Giuseppe (Joe) Caruso, predeceased by her brother and sisters Domenico, Concetta, Giuseppina, Maria and Ida. Cherished mother of Rocco (Anna Magnone) and Maria (Frank Scarfone). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Joseph (Sonia Giampa), Sabrina (Daniele Marinelli), Cindy (Marco Marinelli), Christina (Gian Marco Iacono) and great grandchildren Massimo Rocco, Julia, Gabriel, Ava, Michael and Christian. She will be remembered by her sisters Antonia and Louisa from Italy and her many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends across Canada, USA, Italy, United Kingdom and Australia.
