It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Michele Picciuto on August 4, 2021. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Carmelina (nee Carmelina Ricci), his 3 daughters, Anna, Nancy and Adriana (Jimmy), his 2 grandsons Dominic and Michael, as well his brother Vincenzo, sister Grazia and many sister in-laws and brother in-laws.

Michele Picciuto was born in San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Benevento on September 5, 1938. He grew up in the company of four brothers and two sisters, with whom he shared his cheerful personality and charming sense of humour. He left his hometown at 26 years old to marry his sweetheart and build a family in Canada.

Michele was a peaceful man who loved gardening and spending time with his family. He always wanted the people around him to be happy and well. He was adored by his nieces and nephews both here in Montreal as well as in his hometown in Italy.

He was a very strong-willed man who loved life and never wanted to leave us. After fighting through 9 years of medical complications, he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.

We will remember him, miss him, and love him always. May he rest in peace.


Place of funeral

The funeral will take place on August 7, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Eglises Marie-Auxiliatrice (8555 Boulevard Maurice-Duplessis, Montréal, QC H1E 4H7) followed by burial at Le Repos St-Francois D'Assise cemetery (6893 Rue Sherbrooke Est,Montréal, QC H1N-1C7)
