It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Michele Gravino, on October 21st, 2024, at the age of 88. A loving husband, father, and adored grandfather & great-grandfather. Michele will forever be remembered for his love of sports, his selflessness, and his kindness towards others.
Michele immigrated to Canada from Italy at the age of 15. He was a hard worker, who dedicated himself to creating a better life for himself and his family. He was the patriarch of our family and he leaves behind an immense void. He was incredibly proud of his grandchildren & great-grandchildren, and he visibly lit up at the sight of them. He celebrated their accomplishments like they were his own.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years, Anna Teresa “Ninetta” Pilla and his children Giuseppe (Celesta), Erminia (Franco), and Maria-Theresa.
He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Joey (Josie), Stephanie (Jonathan), Michael (Chanel), Jeffrey (Bianca), Lisa-Marie, and Kayla (Chris), as well as his great-grandchildren Anna, Gemma, and James.
A special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff in neurology from l’Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal, who provided support throughout his time of need.
