It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Antonio Picciano, at the age of 90, on Tuesday, January 2, 2023.
Beloved husband of Filomena Picciano (nee Cordileone). Much loved father of Gino (Helen) and Bruno (Rachel). Grandfather to Stacey (Jason), Tara (Andrew), Matthew (Julie) and Jessica (Steven), and great grandfather to Jade, Lana, Logan, Benjamin, Carmine, Gabriel and Enzo, who were the loves of his life.
He was predeceased by his parents Pasquale and Teresa, brother Michele and sisters Filomena, Nicolina and Maria in Italy and predeceased by his brother Nicola from Ottawa. He will be missed by his only surviving brother, Luigi. He will be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Antonio loved his family more than life itself. He and his beloved wife, Filomena, were devoted to each other for over 66 years and she served as his wonderful caregiver until the very end. He loved his garden, playing cards and bocce with his friends. He was known for his quiet demeanor and infectious smile. He had remarkable strength, courage and character until his last day.
