FRANCESCO (FRANCO) LEO
18 aprile 1941 – 11 ottobre 2025
È con grande dolore e con il cuore pesante che annunciamo la scomparsa di Franco Leo, avvenuta l’11 ottobre 2025, all’età di 84 anni. Lascia i suoi figli Anthony e il cardinale Frank nonché i nipoti Sabrina Maria e Francesco.
Mancherà molto anche alla famiglia allargata, ai numerosi amici e ai parrocchiani della parrocchia Madonna della Consolata, che ricorderanno con affetto la sua disponibilità ad aiutare chiunque ne avesse bisogno. Ha vissuto una vita di amore e bontà con profonda fede e dedizione al lavoro. Ci mancherà molto. Possa il Signore essere misericordioso verso di lui e accoglierlo a Casa in Paradiso.
Luogo di funerali
Il funerale avrà luogo il 18 Ottobre 2025 alle 11:00 presso Our Lady of Consolata (1700 Rue Jean-Talon E, Montreal QC H2E1T2), seguito dalla sepoltura in cimitero Repos St-François d'Assise (6893 Sherbrooke St E, Montreal, Quebec H1N 1C7)

Dear Cardinal Frank Leo, Anthony and entire family
Our deepest and sincerest condolences to you all on hearing of the passing of your dearly beloved dad.
We feel blessed and honoured to have met your dad Francesco in Rome last year during the December 2024 Consistory when you were elevated to the College of Cardinals. You made him a very proud dad. Even though we met him for a short while we will always remember him as an exceptional, loving and gentle soul with a beautiful profound warm smile that embraced the entire world. He will truly be missed and remembered by many.
May God and Mother Mary grant you and your family strength, courage, peace and comfort especially at this most difficult time. May he rest forever in the peace of Christ. Amen.

I heard through an offertory mass at St. Patrick ‘s Church in Mississauga today in honour of your father that brought tears to my eyes and then confirmed mention that your father’s funeral was yesterday by Father Edwin via St. Michael’s Cathedral daily mass YouTube channel. Together now with your mom may your father rest in peace. Heart felt condolences to you and your family.
