It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Antonio D’Elia September 23rd, 2024. A beloved husband, devoted father and adored grandfather, he passed away surrounded by the love of his family who will miss him dearly. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria D’Avino, and their three children; Lenny D’Elia (Iolanda Bertucci), Linda D’Elia (Attilio Vortasio), Danny D’Elia (Sabrina Principe) and his cherished grandchildren children Emma, Liliana, Luciano, Giuliano and Lorenzo. Antonio’s legacy of love, strength, and dedication to his family will forever be remembered by all who knew him. He will be forever missed. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Institut de Cardiologie de Montréal.

Alex and I would like to convey our sincere condolences to the D’Elia family during this difficult time.
Hi Tony, I answered a call from your phone on Sept 22, 4:09 pm. It was Lenny telling us that you were not doing so well. My wife Mary and I rushed to see you, as did our friends Nino and his wife Mary.
Although we found you aided by medical equipment, you were in a talkative mood and we spoke as usual. Your voice gave out a sense of positivity and you told me that you couldn’t wait till hospital staff made you walk. After all, this day was just another in the series of hospital days where you were later dimissed, relieved and happy to be back home with your family.
This time was different though. You chose to leave us the very next day! Good-bye to those days of pills and sleepless nights.You had recently told me , as a True Hero would that you were not afraid !
Our days of karate practice, picnics, long walks and family get togethers are but treasured memories now. Our suppers, You and Mary, Nino and wife Mary, me and my wife Mary, were always welcomed with excitement and anticipation! Always good food, good times and hugs!
Please know this, my dearest friend Tony, You were always loved by all! Today I envision you Smiling surrounded by Love and God. It has been an honor and privilege to have been your Friend!
