Antonina Mongiovi Borsellino

Antonina Mongiovi Borsellino

29 juillet 1930 - 22 avril 2025

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Antonina Mongiovi
Borsellino, aged 94, who peacefully departed this world on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
Antonina was the heart and soul of her family — a woman whose love knew no bounds,
whose kindness was ever-present, and whose quiet strength carried five generations
through life’s joys and challenges. She leaves behind a legacy woven with devotion,
love and grace — a testament to a life beautifully lived.
Born on July 29, 1930, Antonina lived through nearly a century of profound change,
meeting each chapter with dignity and unwavering faith. Through her words, actions,
and constant example, she instilled in her family the enduring values of kindness,
resilience, and unconditional love — gifts that will continue to guide and inspire all those
who follow in her footsteps.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband and soulmate, Antonino Borsellino, and
her parents Antonino and Teresa Mongiovi. Their reunion brings comfort amidst our
grief.
Antonina was surrounded by a loving family who will carry on her legacy with the same
strength and heart she so generously shared throughout her life. She was the proud
mother of four children: Giuseppina (The late Pietro), Gaspare (Giuseppina), Nino (Sylvie),
and Liborio (Giuseppina). She also leaves behind her two devoted sisters Francesca
and Angela as well as her brother-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Liborio, Maria and
Giuseppina.
Her spirit lives on in her 14 grandchildren — Antonina (Roberto), Teresa (Sandro),
Anthony (Laura), Antonina (Tommaso), Elena (Angelo), Giuseppina (Joey), Anthony
(Marissa), Antonina (Vincenzo), Anthony, Josie, Antonino, Giuseppe, Gloria, and
Massimo — her 22 great-grandchildren as well as her 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Beyond her role as a devoted matriarch, Antonina was celebrated for her storytelling,
her dedication as a family caregiver, and the warmth with which she embraced
everyone around her. Whether through her favorite pastimes of baking and gardening or
her memorable laughter that filled any room, she created a legacy that will forever
inspire her family and friends. While our hearts ache in her absence, we find solace in
all the memories, smiles, and deep personal connection she created throughout her life.
Visitation will be held at the Complexe Loreto funeral home, located at 4975 des
Grandes-Prairies, St-Léonard, QC, H1R1A5, on Monday April 28, 2025, from 5pm to 9
pm and on Tuesday April 29, 2025, from 9am to 10 am.

The funeral will take place on April 29,2025 at 11am at Consolata Church (1700 R. Jean
Talon, Montreal, QC H2E 1T2) followed by the burial at Notre Dame des Neiges
cemetery – Mausoleum Ste-Claire D’Assise (4601ch. De la Cote-des-Neiges, Montreal,
