It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, Calogero (Charly) Manno, who left us peacefully on July 9 at the age of 84, at home, while enjoying the warmth of the afternoon sun.
A man of few words, he was known for his unique humour—his one-liners often laced with just the right amount of sarcasm, leaving those around him either laughing or perplexed. He was an avid reader with an ever-curious mind; he loved to dance and could often be found sharing a smile and a step with friends at social gatherings. He will be fondly remembered not as a man of grand gestures, but as one who possessed subtle wit and genuine warmth.
He leaves to mourn his children: Antonino, Rosario (Karen & daughter Heidi), and Josephine (Marco); his grandchildren: Alexandra (Gianluca), Luna, Apollonia, and Brennan; and his precious great-grandchildren: Nathan and Brando. He will also be deeply missed by his surviving sister, Giovanna, his sister-in-law, Carmela, as well as his many nieces and nephews, family members, and dear friends.
