Maria Giuseppa Di Santo Romano

Maria Giuseppa Di Santo Romano

May 3, 1929 - September 2, 2025

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Mrs. Maria Di Santo Romano, beloved wife of the late Antonio Romano, on September 2, 2025, at the age of 96.

Maria was born in Italy and later immigrated to Canada, where she built a life rooted in love, hard work, and family. She was proud of her heritage and especially loved cooking and feeding others, where she nurtured everyone around her.

Above all, Maria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her cherished son Alex (Nicolina), her treasured grandchildren Natalie (Charlie), Anthony (Beverly), Michael (Sushmita), and Matthew (Huan), her beloved great-grandson Nathan and sister Carmen (Michel). Her family was her pride and joy, and she poured her love into each of them, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unity.

Maria will be deeply missed not only by her immediate family but also by many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends, all of whom were touched by her warmth, generosity, and unwavering care.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre’s Palliative Care Unit in Newmarket, Ontario. Their compassion, support, and exceptional care provided great comfort to Maria and her family during her final days.

In closing, Maria’s life was a testament to love and family.  Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

I remember the many chats we
had while you prepared lunch or supper for the family . Everything you did you did gracefully and your recipes were
a blessing during my stay in Richmond Hill .

  2. Miriam DiSanto Seferian says:

    Nipote Miriam
