YOUR LEGACY WILL LIVE ON IN ALL WHO HAD THE HONOUR TO KNOW YOU
YOU WILL BE FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Alberto D’Ovidio, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, who left us at the age of 86 on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rita, and his three loving daughters, Maria Domenica (Nicola), Isabella (Ricky), and Kathy (Rossana). Alberto will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his treasured grandchildren, Tania, Samantha Loren, and Tiffany Marie, along with many other family members and friends who will hold him dearly in their hearts forever.
Born on February 11, 1938, in Celano, Italy, to Augusto D’Ovidio and Domenica Di Stefano D’Ovidio, Alberto was the middle child among three siblings. He cherished his nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who loved him.
Alberto led a full and vibrant life, serving as a steadfast pillar for his family and the Italian community. He left an honorable legacy for his children and earned the respect of countless individuals from various walks of life through his numerous business endeavors. While he remained true to his Italian roots, he embraced his Canadian citizenship and was deeply grateful to Quebec society for warmly welcoming him and his family, enabling them to enjoy a long and fulfilling life.
A quote from Marcus Aurelius aptly reflects Alberto’s generous spirit and way of life: “The only wealth which you will keep forever is the wealth you have given away.”
