It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Romano who left us suddenly on February 7th 2026.
She is survived by her loving husband Joe Iaricci and adoring Son Sebastian. Her brother Mike (Cinzia), & nieces Francesca , Enza and Francine. In laws Gino and Maria. Sister in law Lea (Nick) nieces Stephanie (Joe) & great nephew Martino & niece Kayla (Ellis).
Her presence left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace .
In lieu of flowers donations to The Thoracic Surgery Research Foundation of Montreal would be greatly appreciated.
Place of funeral
The funeral mass will take place on February 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Mont Carmel (7645 Rue du Mans, St.Leonard, QC H1S 2A1) followed by burial at Laval cemetery (5505 Rang du Bas Saint-Francois, Laval, QC H7C 0E4)

It is with great sadness to hear this news. I’m a Holy Names Senior High School friend of Maria. I moved to Ontario, we touched base a few times a year and last was this year on Jan 11th. Maria was always so kind to me, a woman with a great heart for family and friends. How blessed we have all been to have had her in our lives. We need more people like Maria. The world lost a beautiful person. No words can take away sadness, but I hope it helps to remember that Maria is in God’s care. Joe and Sebastian, family, friends may you find Strength from the love and care around you and comfort in the memories you shared and peace as you move forward with Maria in your hearts. You are all being remembered in my prayers. May God comfort you all in this time of sorrow.
