Gino Saracino

September 21, 1932 - November 22, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gino Saracino, who peacefully departed home, surrounded by his family.

He is mourned by his beloved wife of 68 years, Lina Saracino (née Occhionero), and cherished as a father by his sons Mike (Susan), Tony, and Danny. He was a loving grandfather to Michael Jr. (Kayla) and Veronika (Sebastien) and is also survived by his sister Rita (Giacomo Zarelli), along with many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.

Gino was born in Ururi, Italy, in 1932, and was predeceased by his sister Theresita and his brother Elio. He will be remembered for the deep love he had for his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive condolences at Loreto Funeral Home (4975 Bd des Grandes-Prairies, Saint-Leonard, QC H1R 1A5) on Monday, December 2nd, from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. A service will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd, at Ste Angele Church (5275 Bd Lavoisier, Saint-Leonard, QC H1R 1J5) at11:00 am.

The family extends their gratitude to La Société de Soins Palliatifs à Domicile du Grand Montréal, with special thanks to nurse Gulnara Ivanitskaya.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Institut du Cancer de Montréal for prostate cancer research.


Place of funeral

The funeral mass will take place on December 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Ste-Angèle church (5275 Bd Lavoisier, Saint-Léonard, QC H1R 1J5) followed by burial at Notre Dame des Neiges cemetery (4601 Ch. de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, QC H3V 1E7)

I will remember Mr Gino as a warm and gentle man.As a child growing up in Ville Emard, I would see him practically every week when I would accompany my mom for grocery shopping at ” Springland Meat Market “. ..I feel a part of my childhood has left me.
