È con profonda tristezza che annunciamo la scomparsa di Luigia Pistone D’Orsa, all’età di 81 anni. Ci ha lasciati serenamente giovedì 16 settembre 2021, con l’amore e la cura della sua famiglia che la circondava al suo capezzale.
È nata il 1 novembre 1939 in Sicilia e si è trasferita in Belgio all’età di 13 anni, dove ha incontrato il marito di 64 anni, Gerlando D’Orsa. Basandosi su un amore che non ha mai vacillato, i due hanno costruito una vita memorabile insieme a Montreal, in Canada.
Luigia, nota a molti anche come Gina, era riconosciuta come una donna dotata di molta forza e resilienza; un’anima vivace e altruista che teneva la famiglia nella massima considerazione. Era molto contenta quando la sua famiglia era unita, quando le risate erano abbondanti e, soprattutto, quando le persone che amava erano felici. Tutto unito nel suo essere: una personalità sanguinariamente contagiosa, un sorriso che potrebbe illuminare le stanze più buie, e un cuore caldo e accogliente come il sole estivo.
Mancherà per sempre al suo amorevole marito Gerlando e ai suoi tre figli: Frank (fuori Caterina), Carmelina (fuori Alfredo) e Anna Maria (Saad), così come i suoi amati nipoti: Jonathan, Melanie, Amanda, Sofia, Alexander, Dany, David e Veronica, e pronipoti: Matteo, Siena, Matthew e Christian. Parte anche per piangere le sue sorelle, nipoti, nipoti, cugini e amici.
Al posto dei fiori, sarebbero apprezzate le donazioni alla Fondation des maladies du cœur du Canada.
