Antonio Caporale

Antonio Caporale

7 septembre 1934 - 31 juillet 2020

Antonio Caporale, born in the village of San Mango sul Calore in the province of Avellino, Italy (Campania) on September 7, 1934, has passed away in Montreal, his adopted city of residence for more than 50 years, on July 31, 2020.

Known for being a tireless worker and his passion for gardening and wine-making, he leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Assunta Sgrosso Caporale, and his three children, Angela (Claudio), Mirella (Raffi) and Domenico as well as his sister, Pasqualina Prizio Caporale.  Countless nieces, nephews, and friends, in Montreal as well as in Italy, have also been left mourning as he reunites with his late father Domenico Caporale, late mother Angelina Palermo Caporale, and late sister Raffaella Uva Caporale. He leaves behind a void that simply cannot be filled.

Due to COVID restrictions, the wake will be a very private family gathering followed by a mass at Our Lady of Pompeii Church (2875 Rue Sauvé E, Montréal, QC H2B 1C6) at 1 pm on Friday, August 7, 2020. Again due to COVID restrictions, access and seating in the church will be limited and solely controlled by the staff of the church. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and we thank you for your understanding.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to https://fondationduchum.com/en/donate/. Their care and compassion during these very difficult days have been immeasurable.
