Teresa Franco Varacalli

Teresa Franco Varacalli died peacefully on December 24, 2016 at the age of 96. She was born in Cimina, Reggio Calabria, Italy on January 17, 1920. Beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Varacalli, predeceased by her sister the late Rosa Franco (Domenico Raco) and her brother the late Domenico Franco. Teresa and Giuseppe were wed in Italy on April 1, 1937 and were together for 67 wonderful years . She immigrated to Canada on June 15, 1954. She was a woman of faith and a pillar of strength and perseverance. She worked for over 30 years in the garment industry at Missy House on Chabanel Street in Montreal. She leaves to mourn her children, Eugenia Varacalli (Filippo Preteroti) and Nicola Varacalli (Rosetta Iera), her sister-in-law Nicoletta Franco and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends and all those whose lives she touched.
