After a brave, defiant fight with cancer, surrounded by his loving family and carers at the Montreal Jewish General hospital, Michele Ferrara passed away on November 10, 2016 at the age of 80.
A wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend – our lives will never be the same without you.
He is survived by his loving wife Maddalena and children Johnny and Mary including his daughter and son-in-law Julie and Tony and his 3 grandchildren, Mark, Christina and Victoria.
Place of funeral
The funeral mass will take place on November 19, 2016 at 5:00 PM at Ste-Angèle Church (5275 Boulevard Lavoisier, Saint-Léonard, QC H1R 1J5) followed by burial at Le Repos St. François D'Assise cemetery (6893 Rue Sherbrooke Est Montréal, QC H1N 1C7)

Dear Ferrara Family, It is with deep sorrow that I just learned about “Mike’s” passing. I found out about his illness 2 weeks ago only through Mrs. Petelle who called me to check if I knew. What a bad surprise it was. I would have liked to visit you and pay a last tribute to Mike but it is unfortunately impossible for me today or tomorrow as I am flying to Jamaica within a few hours. I will call you upon my return. I will remember Mike as a very generous and volunteer person. I will never forget him. My mother and father will be happy to welcome him Up There!
