It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lucia Iacovelli – beloved wife, mother, and aunt.

Lucia Iacovelli passed away on April 25, 2022 at the age of 62 after a courageous battle with cancer, at her home in Montreal surrounded by her husband Ted Ardelli and her children Jared and Alicia.

Those who knew her will remember her as a courageous and giving person with a big heart who always put the needs of others before her own. Her kindess, generosity, and warmth will be carried on through her memory.

She is predeceased by her parents Angela Taldone and Giuseppe Iacovelli. She leaves behind her brother Antonio (Ester), her sister Michelina (Tony), and countless family and friends.

Special thanks to the nurses and doctors from the CLSC, the Palliative Home-Care Society of Greater Montreal, and the Cedars Cancer Centre.

In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Cedars Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family.


Place of funeral

The funeral will take place on May 2, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Marie-Auxiliatrice Church (8555 Bd Maurice-Duplessis, Montréal, QC H1E 4H7) followed by burial at Notre Dame des Neiges cemetery (4601 Ch. de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, QC H3V 1E7)

  1. I’ve known her son Jared since high school, we were friends since then. I extend my condolences for the passing of your mom. Although I have not had the chance to meet her, I imagine she was a caring, loving mother for you and your sister, and was a wonderful person between the relatives. Her battle with cancer was commendable, given the difficulties it brings. May God bless her and may she have a peaceful time for eternity in heaven.

    It is with a heavy heart that I learn of your untimely passing. You were a great coworker at Regent Industries (Annabelle & Caroline Cosmetics) & my subsequent Supervisor at our time at Groupe Marcelle on Rachel Street. You were always pleasant to work with and I will never forget about that. We confided in each other and shared a special bond.     Worked with Lucia many years ago at Annabelle and always remember her as a very patient, kind and lovely lady, who had a good word for everybody around.
