Iolanda Corbo Polletta

Iolanda Corbo Polletta

July 18, 1931 - January 29, 2022

It is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow that we announce the death of our dear mother, Iolanda Corbo Polletta of Montréal, Québec.  After a prolonged illness, she entered into rest peacefully on January 29, 2022, at the age of 90.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Luigi Polletta.  She leaves her loving and devoted children Josée Polletta of Montreal and Salvatore Polletta (Ingrid) of Brockville, Ontario and her beloved grandchildren Marisa Polletta, Sam Polletta, Luke Polletta, Daniel Polletta and Lia Polletta and many nephews, nieces and friends.

Iolanda was born in Puglianello, Benevento Italy on July 18, 1931.  She immigrated to Canada in 1954 and lived in Montreal, Quebec.  Her greatest passion was her family and especially her grandchildren.  She was an accomplished seamstress, an outstanding cook and a gifted gardener.  She often boasted that she could grow anything, and in fact once got a long-stemmed rose to root and flower for many years.

Family and friends can send flowers and/or light a candle as a loving gesture for her. We appreciate if you leave a message with a memory, if you have one, to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Iolanda Corbo Polletta.

Due to covid restrictions, a private viewing will be held for the immediate family only. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt sentiments to you.

You will be able to follow a live stream as of February 3 at 9:00 a.m.
